Stella Will Steal Your Heart and Charm The Pants Off of You!  She is sweet and adorable,  But before we go on,  she isn't going to qualify for everyone, so before you apply, please read all the  way through,  Pugs come with a lot of cost and care.  Pugs require grooming care which is not optional,  And, of course, brachycephalic dogs have health issues that often effect skin, eyes and oral health as well as breathing issues connected to hot weather and exercise and medical procedures that need her to be sedated like dentals, etc, ,

We are looking for a family that has pug experience and knows about the financial commitment,  We are looking for a family that can afford her care and will spend the money it will take for her care,  Stella requires twice daily eye ointment made by the compounding pharmacy for dry eye. It costs about $50.00 a tube which should last about a month.   She has an eyelid issue common to pugs that has caused one eye to ulcerate and both to be scarred,  She might need eyelid surgery in the future, We opted to have  her receive a filler to prevent further damage, This might work long term or it might not.  If it doesn't then surgery might be the next step.  If she needs another eye lid filler procedure it will cost roughly about $750.00.  If she needs eyelid surgery it costs about $4200.00,  She will need to see the opthamalogist 2 x year for check ups,  This is not optional,  If you can't commit to this, please move on,   We understand that she is not the right dog for everyone.

If you read this far and feel you can qualify, we can assure you that she is the nicest dog in the world.  She needs some help with her potty skills,  She has to be directed to go out and will do best on a leash or with a person right there with her to be sure she doesn't forget why she went outside.  She has learned to use a pee pad as a back up.  She hates going out in the snow.  Stella wants to make you happy and give you kisses.  She is fine with respectful little dogs or respectful big ones, too. We would like to see her go to a home with a dog companion who is comfortable with having a dog companion.  Sometimes people what their dogs to have friends but their dogs don't want friends,  Stella is like the Princess and the pea,  if you can't find her in the house look again,  She will find a cushy spot to take a nap on the couch, dog bed etc, no hard surfaces for this gal!  

Stella  is estimated to be about 2 years old,  She has been fully vetted.  She is spayed, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.  She will come with her eye meds and directions from the opthamologist,  

Her adoption donation is $850.00.   She is on the hunt for his own completely committed family,  Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so she wants to be sure all applicants will stick with her for better or for worse!
