Amy is an X-Puppymill Mom.  Amy and 3 other standard poodles joined out rescue at the end of April 2023.  The 'Little Women" stood frozen in the kitchen huddled together for several hours the first day they arrived from the mill.  Fast forward three months and they have learned how to be dogs.  That being said, Amy will likely feel very unsafe at the start of her adoptive home. She is still shy and has been coming out of her shell,  She is still working on her potty skills and should be best in a home with someone around to give her frequent bathroom breaks every couple of hours,  She will need someone with patience and love to let her come along on her own pace.  But we expect in a couple of months in her new home she will safe and fully relax into the routine of the house.  We feel Amy will do best in a home with another respectful dog to help her feel safe

Amy must be in a home with a fenced in and gated yard ,  We consider all dogs to be flight risks but a puppymill dog is more shy and requires more security.  Once she feels safe she will delight you with her charming poodle personality.  She loves to be pet especially on her head and will sit there next to you for hours!

Amy is fully vetted, She has been spayed, received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and is heartworm negative,  Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of her adopter   Her adoption donation is $800.00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 25 years old so she wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse!
